HISTORY OF SILK ROUTE The old silk route or Silk Road who is passes through east Sikkim is a part of the ancient network of trade routes which connected CHINA TO INDIA. This route passed through LHASA & NATHULA & JELEP LA PASS and finally reached the port of TAMRALIPTO (in present TOMLUK in West Bengal). From where it took to the sea and reached Far East. This ancient silk route is expected to have been discovered by traders as early as first century AD. SILK ROUTE SIGHTSEEING Old Baba Mandir, Eagles nest bunker, Four Lake point, India Lake, Strawberry Lake, Kupup Lake, Laxman chowk, Lingthang, Thambi view point, Tukla valley, Yalk golf course, Rishikhola River, Pedong Market, Rongli Bazer, Kichuta Falls etc DAY WISE TOUR DETAILS DAY 1: NJP TO SILLERYGEON/MAIRUMGEON Early morning our Representatives/Driver will meet you are NJP station. After that we will start to explore our dream destination Old Silk Route. After 4 hours’ drive we will reach at Sillerygeon/MAIRUMGEON. After lunch we will visit local village side and jangle side by walk. After dinner nightstay at Sillerygeon. DAY 2: SILLERYGEON/MAIRUMGEON TO LOWER ZULUKH (PADAMCHEN) At the early Morning we will explore the beauty of KANCHANJANGHA. If you want you can explore a short track at Ramitey View Point/Rikisum view point (30 Mnts) by walk. Then then return hotel and take breakfast. Then after breakfast start our journey towards Padamchen (Lower Zulukh-altitude 10000 ft). In route visit Silent Valley & Pedong & Rongli bazaar (For Interline Permit), Phadamchen, Nimachen & Kiukhola Falls, then reach Padamchen, about 1.30 pm. After lunch visit Padamchen local area by walk. After dinner nightstay at Padamchen. DAY 3 : PADAMCHEN – NATHANG – ARITAR – DALAPCHAND After breakfast journey started for Silk Route trail, going to Nathang valley via zig zag road (95 turn zig zag road is unique in the entire Himalayan ranges), enjoy the beauty of Laxmi chak, Nathang valley , Tukla valley, Thambi Valley, Kupup lake ( 13066 ft, localy called Bitan cho), Old baba mandir, see the world highest Golf course , The Yak gulf course at 13025 ft, see also the Ice hockey ground & the water polo pool. Then return to Dalapchand village via Aritar. The one of the beautiful village at Old Silk Route. After lunch we will option visit local area by walk. Then return hotel and evening time enjoy with family then we will take Dinner and nightstay at Dalspchand. DAY 4 : DALAPCHAND TO ROLEP/RISHIKHOLA At the early Morning we will explore the village beauty by walk. Then after breakfast start our journey towards Rolep/Rishikhola. On the way we will explore Aritar lake, Mankim Monastery, Mankim top view point, Rolep River side. After reach Rolep/Rishikhola we will take lunch and explore the river side by walk. Also visit local area like famous Buddha water falls, Rolep Valley, Rongpo River, Old Monestary, Hanging Bridge (If you stay Rolep) / Rishi river bed, Jungle (If you stay Rishikhola) by walk. Evening time enjoy the beauty of river and jungle from our homestay. After dinner nightstay at Rolep/Rishikhola Homestay. DAY 5 – ROLEP/RISHIKHOLA TO NJP DROP Early morning explore the morning beauty of river side. After breakfast start our journey towards Njp. On the way we will also explore the beauty of Tista River. Around 5 pm we will reach Njp. Then after reach NJP catch the train & overnight in train. See Our Terms & Conditions *CANCELATION POLICY 20% of Package Cost will be deducted if the tour cancelled within 60-120 days of schedule date of journey. 25% of Package Cost will be deducted if the tour cancelled within 30-59 days of schedule date of journey 40% of Package Cost will be deducted if the tour cancelled within 10-29 days of schedule date of journey. 50% of Package Cost will be deducted if the tour cancelled within 7-10 days of schedule date of journey. No amount will be refunded, if the tour cancelled within 7 days of schedule date of journey.
